So, we're having a baby.

And, I've been (not-so-subtly) reminded by my dear, dear friends that I never update my blog, and now I have to. Well guys (girls), I haven't had anything to say. Now I do. Plus, my core 4 girls are ALL moving away within, like, 3 weeks of each other, so I have to keep them updated. While the likelihood of me doing this every week is slim, I'll try my best. I would love to read stuff like this from when my mom was pregnant with me or my bro.

(And thanks, Jen, for making my life easy. I stole your questions.)

How far along: 21 weeks
Maternity clothes: Some. A lot of dresses. My pants fit with the stretchy band thing, but dresses are more comfy.
Sleep: I get up to pee 2-3 times per night, so that's exciting. I'm way better at sleeping right before my alarm goes off and during the day than I am at night.
Best moment of this week: Buying a glider rocker for baby's room with my mom. I love starting her nursery stuff!
Miss anything: Not having to pay attention to my caffeine intake.
Movement: Yes! I feel her for a little bit every day. Justin even got to feel her, which weren't expecting at all this early! He kept gasping every time she moved. It was presh. He then got his stethoscope out to try and hear her heartbeat. #mursehusband
Gender: She's a she! Evelyn Louise Morgan. Evelyn, because we like it. Louise, because it was my grandma's name. More on her later.
Labor signs: Um, no. PTL.
Belly button in or out: In. Also, PTL.
Wedding rings on or off: On.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy, I think. Maybe ask Justin.
Looking forward to: Working on her nursery!
Baby is the size of a: Carrot. Length, I think. However, Chelsea likes to relate her to processed food, so maybe a Twizzler? I don't know how long those are. She weighed 12oz at our appointment last week. How do they even know that?
Things I've asked other moms (including mine) recently:
How(ish) old is a 35 pound child?
Is a nursing bustier for real?
Can I eat deli meat?
Can I eat canned tuna?
How much espresso is in that?
Can I get a massage?
Can I take a bath? (because you're not supposed to be in hot tubs, apparently.)

Kansas City

Well, I received a text from my friend Chelsea saying, "Write a blog. What are you doing with your life?"

Ha. So, here I am. Writing a blog. Telling all 26 of you what I'm doing with my life. :) I might even cue a few up, so I don't drop off the face of the earth again.

We just got back from Kansas City yesterday, after spending a few days there with only each other. We love hosting people and having friends over and people staying with us, so we do. A lot. Because of that, we have to be very intentional about finding time for us. We obviously need time where we can't be reached or talked into doing something. :) So, we peaced out! And it. was. awesome. We loooovvvveeeee just being with each other despite the amount of time we spend with other people. Granted, I could do nothing and just chill while Justin likes to plan something for every single minute. We find a happy medium.

I think the only pictures we took were at the zoo, but here are some highlights/what we did.

  • Shopped at the Plaza. H&M, y'all. Love it. Of course, we went to Anthro and Urban Outfitters too, but I'm too cheap for those stores.
  • The Zoo!
 Otter. For Rachel.
"Take a picture of me. I'm dying."
Only picture of us together from the trip.
Making the same face as the camel.
We rode the ski left that went over the zoo. Yes, that's a thing. And yes, it's awesome.
I. Love. Polar bears.
  • Ate BBQ (Gate's, which I was then told by my local friend, Erin, that Gate's is not the best compared to others. Bummer. Just another reason to go back!)
  • Ate California Pizza Kitchen - where our waiter, Alan, told Justin they had sugar you could add to tea to make it sweet. He also got sassy and even pointed out that it's the same sugar in sweet tea.
Excuse me, Alan, have you ever tried to mix a million sugar packets into cold tea? It doesn't dissolve. He was obviously not southern. We tried to be gracious.
  • Ate at Grinder's, which came highly recommended from the guy we stayed with. It was alright. We obviously love to eat.
  • We rented an apartment to stay in from a website called airbnb.com, and it was super. This freaks some people out. This is the 3rd place to stay I've found on a sight like this, and so far it's always worked out great. Maybe I'll blog about that later....Anyways, he loved Asian art, but had awesome brick walls and high, open wooden ceilings. Also, concrete floors. Not my fave (they were in the bedroom too, since it was a loft), but fine.
  • I got to see my friend, Erin, like I said earlier. I was giddy. She moved from Fayetteville to KC area with her fam a few months ago. I was thrilled to be in my Wed. morning scripture memory group with her for a time. And thrilled to babysit her sweet boys a few times. And, much sadder than I anticipated when she moved. Seeing her was so. wonderful. She's so wise.
We're back now, and I go back to work tomorrow. Booooo. Not really, but I am way thankful for time off. Also, I cannot stop thinking about how incredible this video is. Grab a kleenex and watch it.

Powdered Donuts

Justin and I, we fight. We are married, so of course we do, but we fight about dumb stuff and real stuff. One of our more ridiculous fights happened last week. (One week before we are supposed to be on a panel of married people for engaged couples. #humbling) It is funny, and I don't wanna forget it, if for nothing else than a good story. Here's how it went:

My mom gave us Easter baskets for Easter. In these baskets were those little 6 packs of powdered donuts. I ate 3 for breakfast one morning (because I prefer the chocolate ones to the white ones, not because I think 3 teeny, calorie-filled donuts are a good breakfast) and put the others in a Ziploc bag. Justin ate the other 3 at some point. No big. A few nights later I was cooking dinner, and Justin was apparently starving. He ate 3 of the donuts from the other pack. He asked me what he should do with the rest. I said, "Put them in a Ziploc or something. I'll eat them eventually." He said, no, they are bad for us. I shall throw them away. (He didn't say shall, probably).
Me: "That is wasteful. No. Don't throw them away. Just keep them, and I'll eat them. I don't care."
Him: "But they are bad for us. Neither of us should eat them."
Me: (frustratedly and loudly) "Don't throw them away. Why are you being ridiculous?"
Then, he looked at me, and said "They're bad for us." And threw. them. away.
Me: "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!"
Him: "I, uh, shouldn't have done that, but I -"
Me: "I DON'T WANNA TALK ABOUT IT."
I continued to cook. Angrily. He did something on the couch. I don't know what because I was trying not cry (because I cry when I am mad.) I didn't cry, I just yelled in my head. Once I calmed down (some), I told him that I did not want to fight about donuts. I don't care about donuts. He hurt my feelings and was disrespectful and ignored what I said. He, immediately y'all, stood up, hugged me, and apologized. He said he handled the situation very poorly. He is humble. Hopefully, I will learn that from him. I am not anywhere near as quick to apologize to him like he does to me.

Thanks for being patient with me, lobe.

Thoughtlessness, moving, and a Christmas party

Y'all, let me preface this with I'm not fishing for compliments with what I'm about to say. Please don't think I am.

Anyways....One thing I've had to come to terms with about myself is that I don't have the gift of thoughtfulness. I wish I did, y'all. I think I always thought I had it, but I'm not so sure. I'm actually pretty sure I don't. I'm also kind of ok with it. While it's a bummer, I'm glad I at least know, so I can work on it. Don't know what I mean? Here are some examples:
My friends/fam/husband are so good at birthdays and gifts. Justin swears he got me the best Christmas presents ever this year. (I don't have his or anyone else's gift and won't for a couple weeks). Chelsea is so great writing me letters, and she's the one in India. My sweet girlies always get me something I love or have mentioned for my bday and for everyone elses, and I'm lucky if I remember the day of much less the week of their birthdays. It's not like I think of stuff and don't do it, I simply don't just think it. I have to put a LOT of thought into stuff like that. Gift giving - also not my strong suit. That's it. Just a revelation I thought I'd let y'all know.

In other news, we're moving in 20 days! Just down the road...literally about 200 yards. Our current apartment has other creatures living in it, and I just can't deal with it. We're breaking our lease and moving on. (Thank you Jesus that we found a place that would give us the first month free). That makes me think that I've never shown pictures of our first home on here. Here are a festive few.

Sorry I didn't clean off the table from the party...

Our tiny, but useful kitchen. Not much to see other than the pot rack.

Our tiny but useful bathroom.
I love our shower curtain, and it's called Jaipur. Bonus.

This is us with John, Justin's bestie and our current roommate. He's on furlough from India and is staying with us while he's in Fayetteville. (Yep, we both have besties in India).

On another Christmasy note, we had a Christmas party here last night! We went to the Square (which was lovely) and took pictures then came here and ate, hung out, and played games. Y'all there was at least 46 people in our apartment at one time. Yea. Wow. Didn't know that was possible. It was great though! People made and brought delicious snacks and dressed festively. It was so great. Here are a few photos from that.

With sweet, Sarah. Love love love her.

It was our (Rachel left - Natalie right) 3 year friendiversary! 3 years ago when these girls were wee little freshmen (they're seniors now!) they came over to my apartment and we went to the square to take pictures. (Nat brought Rach. That was when we met.) I have had the privilege of discipling these girls and being their friend for 3 years now. Words can't express how dear they are to me.

Y'all. Last time Jusitn and I took pictures on the Square it was for our save the dates. Now we've been married for 6 months. Wait, what?!? Who am I?! Happy, that's who.

This is Sarah and Jason (and Josh pretending he's not in the picture even though he knows he is, and Tim really thinking he's not in the pic). They're sibs. Sarah's my bro's age (and they're friends) and Jason's my age and we have worked together for the past year and half or so. He actually played a part in getting me my current job. I like you Biggs (how do I make that plural?)

Oops

Sorry y'all. I've sort of unintentionally been on a blogging hiatus. Ya know who hasn't though? Mrs. Yocum, my cheer coach/photographer. Take a look!

I know, we've been married for 4 months, but it's on her blog now!

How's married life?

This is the question I get asked most frequently...maybe 2nd most frequently. The other is, "How's the job search going?' Well, let me tell you.

Married!
Married life is so fun! I love spending time with Justin and living with him and getting to know him more. I get to bake and cook a lot, and I LOVE that. It's really great. One day, Chels asked me if Justin did stuff that reminded me of her, and he totally does. Not like he's girly or anything, but just some of the things they say and how I respond. It's kind of like I married my best friend she said. She's totally right. I think that's a good summary.
*I just learned the difference between summary and summation. Summation refers to numbers being added together, and summary is words. (That's my concise comparison from my research. Ha.)
Anyways, this isn't to say life is perfect all the time, but it's fun and sweet, and I love it.

Unemployed
Currently unemployed at least. I have no doubt that I will find a job. God has always provided for me some how whether it be through my parents or my own work. I've applied for 5 different jobs within DHS. I am qualified for all of them and basically have heard via email "You're qualified. Thanks for applying. We might call you for an interview. No further action is required on your part." I applied at Vista Health, but our friend Ryan made me nervous about working there. I've turned in a few other applications, but at this point they're all jumbled in my head. So, yea. There ya go. :)

On a totally different note we went to THE midnight premier of Harry Potter part 1 billion. Just kidding. It was movie 8 but part of book 7. I'm not a super Harry fan, but Chelsea and Justin are, so I went. It was good. It was faster paced than all the other movies, so I liked that, but also more fighty. Didn't really like that. Did I mention that I hadn't seen 5 of them, so we had to watch the first 7 within the past 2-3 weeks. Whew. I'm Harry-ed out.

Lastly, my bestie moves to India Sunday. I have very mixed emotions. You'll hear more about this later for sure. I. Love. Her.

And you. :)
Bye.

Hungry

He was sitting cross-legged in the median with a cardboard sign that read "hungry". I glanced and noticed him, but continued my conversation with Chelsea and Finley as we pulled off the interstate into Russellville.

We drove to the gas station/Wendy's/Subway because no one wants to travel with someone hungry. A hungry person is a cranky person. I ended my phone call with Chels before we pulled up to the order box.

I told Justin what I wanted and he recited it back to the Wendy's order box and added an additional 2 orders of chicken nuggets, a frosty, an order of fries and 2 jr. deluxe burgers. I flipped as we drove to the window asking him if he was really going to eat all of that food. That's a LOT of food. (1,540 calories and 176 grams of fat to be exact. Sick.) He told me to hold on as he paid. I asked him if I could tweet that. I was blown away and impressed and grossed out. The Wendy's worker handed him back his card, and he told me it wasn't all for him. He said it was for the man.

A man? What man? Then I remembered the man we passed as I was having my phone conversation with my best friend inside my nice, air-conditioned truck. Oh yea, that man. I responded in a way that I don't remember and stopped making a big deal about all of the food I thought Justin was about to consume. We got asked to move to a parking spot because it would be just a few minutes on our spicy chicken nuggets. Who knew spicy nugs were such a hot commodity?

We left Wendy's after we got all of our food and Justin went in to get the man a bottle of water. We headed back toward where we saw the man, but he was no where to be found. We drove around the surrounding area to make sure he hadn't moved, but we never found him.

I would like to think that someone beat us to it and fed the man, but I don't know that that's true. I'm going to pray so.

Things like this are what makes me thankful for my husband. (Husband! Ah!)

Sometimes

Sometimes I get to see my fiance. Like, we get to be in the same meetings sitting by each other but not really talking. Still though, we are by each other.

Sometimes I get to actually spend time with and talk to my fiance.....not just sit by him. Those times are rare and sweet.

Most times we text each other more than we actually talk because or schedules do not match well right now.

That's a bummer.

52 days.

That's not a lot of times left.

Praise. The. Lord.

Are you gonna have a frat bachelor party?!

So, I know it's past Valentine's day, but we didn't go on a Valentine's day date until yesterday. Hence the late post.

First off, even though we didn't go on our date til yesterday, Justin surprised me at the desk Monday night with 25 helium inflated balloons tied to a box of slippers. :)

On Saturday he gave me some lilies that he bought on Monday but kept leaving at work, so I didn't actually get them til Yesterday.

On our date we ate breakfast at Rick's and then went to Harp's to get picnic stuff. Then we drove to Eureka Springs for the day! It was so fun and ended up being such a good day for it! Let me tell y'all though, Eureka Springs has very different people/places.

Examples
1. Everyone asked where we were from, and I'm pretty sure they all thought we were staying in Eureka Springs together for the weekend. We weren't. That was annoying.
2. There are a few wedding chapels in Eureka Springs. That's just funny to me. Justin kept telling me we could elope all day. We didn't of course.
3. Stores have really weird names. Pardon my language, but there was a store called Big Boner. Really? That's unnecessary.
We also went to an Amish furniture store where we're pretty sure a guy planted a phone call, so we'd feel guilty. We walked in, said hello, and then his phone rang. All we could hear was his side of the phone convo which went something like, "Yea, there haven't been too many people in here today. Sales aren't doing so good. There's been 2 or 3 people in here." Ouch.
There was also a store called W.T. Focker's Discount Outlet. We ended up going there, and it was a lot like A-Z in Alma but way smaller. We bought a can that had a pull tab top and no label for a quarter. It had WTF? written on the side of it in permanent marker. As far as I know we still don't know what it is.
4. The people there are slightly outrageous sometimes. Or maybe they're just passionate about different stuff than I am. I overheard a conversation between a cashier at a bookstore and a customer about America having the opposite of an Oedipus complex (Electra complex I believe) with our president. We went into an outdoorsy store, and we were looking at a pair of men's jeans trying to guess how much they cost. Justin guessed $150, and before I could guess the sales lady came over and told us that they had replaced their Jack of Spades jeans (Justin and I both said, "Oh. Ok." even though neither of us knew what she was talking about.) with the ones we were looking at. She said they were supposed to be $165, but they were offering an introductory price of $135. She then proceeded to show us how they were double and triple stitched, and how they were stretchy kind of like girls jeans, so you could run from the cops. Yep. Then she started laughing, and so did we...sort of. We kept looking around the store, and she asked us if we were honeymooning. We said something along the lines of "not yet", and Justin made a joke about trying to get me to elope. She asked when I was gonna just do it, and I explained that we actually were getting married at the end of May. She said, "Oh! Really? Where ya gonna do the deed?" I told her where and that we were students at the UofA to which she responded, "Paarrrrrty!" Ha. THEN, she looked at Justin and said, "I bet you're gonna have a big frat bachelor party aren't ya?! Hahahahaha." Justin said he was going to have a bachelor party, but probably not a frat one. I was trying not to laugh my face off. Then she turned to me and said, "What about you? (whisper) Are you gonna have a stripper?" I said absolutely not and that I would kill my friends if I did. She then started her story with, "The first time I got married..." Sad. She proceeded to tell us that her friends hired a stripper, and it was someone she knew, and she was appalled. She said he stripped down to his tighty whities and there was a poop stain on them. She then used some explicitives to finish her story. Who tells strangers that!?!??!!?

It was a fun day, but y'all Eureka Springs is a funny town. We watched Sherlock Holmes and then went to Geraldi's for dinner. It was a 12 hour date, and it was super fun.

Happy Sunday y'all.

My little Patalie

I promised some talk of my girls, so here's part 1 of ?.

I'll start with Natalie because her birthday was a couple of days ago.
I have been meeting with Natalie for a little over a year and a half now. She just turned 21 a couple days ago. She's. A. Stud.

We first became friend her freshman and my sophomore year. We don't actually remember how we met, but we did, and I'm so thankful for that. I had a Christmas party one night at my apartment and she (and Rachel, another lovely lady who you'll get to know later) both came.
This is us that night. She's the beauty to my right your left.

We hung out for the rest of the school year and she, along with Rachel and Brittany, was in my D-group at Kaleo. That summer was amazing. I grew a ton, and I got to watch them grow a ton. It was such a blessing to be called their leader.

This was the night the girls (from left to right Rachel, Natalie, Brittany) got there. I started the summer by loading them up in my car and stating that my car smelled funny. Ha. So sweet of me, I know. It helped break the awkward real quick though.

Anyways, I got to watch Nat grow so so much that summer. After living in the International dorm on campus last year and trying her best to share Jesus there, she lives in the freshmen all-girls dorm on campus. She's leading a Bible study there and meeting with her own girls regularly. When I say her own girls, I mean the girls that were in her D-group last summer (as well as a few new ones!). She's also an RA. She's also in nursing school. She's also going to India this summer. Yep. She's incredible.

Nat is a blessing that I somehow get to call my spiritual daughter, and man does that make me excited. I'm one proud mama. She loves her Lord so much, and it is evident in the way she lives and loves others. She is teachable and asks good questions and you better believe that this girl is a servant. Even more than that she is a quiet servant. She does things because she loves people, but more importantly because she loves Jesus. If you talk Natalie, you will find that she is kind and genuine and warm in a way that can't be taught. She is humble and not afraid to ask for help and that is challenging and refreshing.

I adore her. I'm proud of her. I pray that I can be more like her.

Guard your hearts, boys.

Adoration.

I love a lot of people...well I think I do. But, one person I love and adore and admire so so so much is my little brother. I think he is wonderful, and I have loved watching him grow in college. In the past year and a half he has turned into such a man. A godly man. I have a friend, Jason, and I've been told that I treat him like a brother. When I told him that, he said I treat him meaner than I do my own brother because I think my brother is a saint. I laughed, but he's right. I do.

Recently, a group of us was bowling for my friend Julie's birthday. In the lane next to us a lady that worked at the bowling alley was putting bowling balls from the holder thing back onto the shelves. We were all watching whoever was bowling, but I noticed my brother get up and help her put them up. Granted, that's not a huge deal, but that is her job, not his. None of us noticed or even thought to do that except him. He does stuff like that all the time. I. Love. Him. SO much.

I think 2011 will be my favorite year yet

Y'all. I've super slacked. My apologies. Let me update you as briefly as I can because no one wants to read a novel.

On the wedding front, here's what we've done:

  • Registered at Dillards and Kohl's. (Please note the rhino statue and woodlands mug on the Kohl's registry...guess who did that.) Also, Justin only registered us for a pepper grinder, so if you decide a pepper grinder is the gift we need, maybe grab a salt shaker too. :) I love registering. It's so fun. It's so fun with Justin. We have one store left, and I think it will be my fave.
  • Bought Justin's suit! It was half off-bonus, and he looks quite dashing in it-double bonus.
  • I feel like we are so close to figuring out where we're getting married. I'm real excited about that.
  • I got our save the dates in the mail yesterday. (Which I had 2 coupons for when I ordered them thank you very much.)
  • We figured out where we're honeymooning-Denver. I'm thrilled. I've never been west, so it'll be new for me, and there's a zoo. I LOVE zoos, and I love Justin, so I'm sure it will be fun. :)
  • I bought some stuff at thrift stores for our wedding. I'm excited about that.
Here's what else I've done over the break:
  • Been sick. Yep. The first day I moved home I got super sick. With that on top of other things, I was useless for nearly a week. Bummer.
  • Over Christmas I saw Trans-Siberian Orchestra with Justin's family and had Christmas in Conway with mom's side of the family. On Christmas day my daddy's side of the fam came to our house.
  • I went to StuMo Conference which was incredible! I'm so thankful for a ministry (and a church) that teaches truth even if it isn't easy. StuMo has been the thing God has used most to change my life in college. I'm thankful. I got to see tons of friends from my first Kaleo who go to other schools. I also got to see and spend time with my sweet friend Sarah who I don't get to see often since she moved to Kansas. She has a beautiful new baby and was full of great advice. I adore her-Shout out to Sarah: thanks for the registering advice. I soooooooooo appreciate it.
This is some of us at the conference
  • After SMC some of us went to our friend Rachel's house in Bartlesville, OK, and it was so fun! If I were gonna live in Oklahoma, I'd totally want to live in Bartlesville. We went thrifting and ate super well. Rachel's mom is an incredible cook! (Her dad is a great griller too:) We watched girly movies and painted nails and did hair. It was a blast.
We also went to QuikTrip. We love QuikTrip.

  • I had so much fun in Oklahoma, but I was gone for nearly a week. I was missing home and missing Justin by the time I got back. Justin came to see me the first night I was back, and look what I got when he walked in the door-
I'm. So. Thankful.

Tomorrow I'm moving back into Humphreys for the last time to start RA training. Now, I will go pack, so I can hopefully go with Sarah to get her haircut tomorrow.

I have a very pretty ring on a very important finger

That's right y'all, I'm engaged. Engaged. En. Gaged! Meaning I'm getting married. Meaning I'm gonna live with a man that's not my daddy or brother. Meaning I'll have a kitchen. Meaning I get to plan a wedding and (more importantly) a marriage to the man I LOVE. Love. I can say the word "love". That's neat, huh?

Because I'm a terrible friend and can't return all of the phone calls I said I would, here's the story until I actually call you. Forgive me please?

Saturday Justin and I helped some friends move (who knew it was happening so I'm now told) then went on a date. We planned to go to my parents house for chili that night. I'd been inviting people all week as had my parents. Anyways, to start our date Justin picked me up, and when we walked back out to his car there was a ticket on it, what looked like a ticket at least. Really it was a note for me.
*To ask me out for our first date Justin put a ticket envelope on my car which also led to a scavenger hunt. This eventually ended with him asking me out.

I read the note which basically told me that I was going on a scavenger hunt, he would be my driver, I got clues wherever we went IF I asked to go to the right places. I read clue #1, and we headed off to Gulley Park, where we went on our first date. I found another clue and throughout the whole thing we ended up going to about 9 or 10 more places. Everywhere we went was somewhere we've been together. At one point I had to go to McDonald's, order what we did on our first date, and ask for Richard. Then, some man named Richard gave me the next clue. Eventually we ended up at the square to look at the Christmas lights.

We walked around the square and ended up in front of the U.S. Center for World Missions. There were rose petals on the ground, but I hardly noticed since I was wondering how they got the Christmas lights on the really tall middle parts of the trees to look so great. Justin then grabbed my shoulders and told me he wasn't thinking about cherry pickers (which was my suggestion for how the Christmas lights were placed).
Then I noticed the rose petals.
Then he said he wanted to talk about our future.
Then I don't totally remember, but I know he told me he loved me (which he'd never said before) and that he wanted me to be his wife.
He got down on one knee (with the ring box upside down) and asked me to marry him.
I asked if he was serious. Yep.
He said yes, and then I said yes.
Then I hugged him a lot.
Then we went to my parents house for our engagement party which I'd apparently been inviting people to all week.

I'll post pictures when I get them back and keep you updated on how this whole wedding planning thing is going because I can already tell you that there is so much more to it than I knew.

I know, I've slacked.

So, I said I would do better this time, and I was....then I wasn't again. Oops. Life hit me in the face, and this was the last thing on my mind. Correction: probably 2nd to last. Homework was last which is why this week is kicking my butt. I'm so good at procrastinating. Thanks, mom. :)-kidding.

I had a wonderful thanksgiving with almost the entire side of my mom's family. I might have pictures later. I'll try real hard to at least. There were so many people staying at our house. The den was like a little camp for all of the kids. We played lots of Banagrams and a little bit of Life, and my brother, cousin, and I all got dominated by Justin at Monopoly.

AND we went to see Tangled. I was excited. I loved it. :)

My uncle went hunting and killed a bobcat. That was gross and neat.

I loved loved loved spending time with my fam. I am so so blessed and get to have wonderful parents and extended fam.

Good news: The heat in Humphreys finally got turned on.
Bad news: It wasn't working on my half of my floor.
I've been doing homework (and sleeping in) a onesie and one glove. (You can't use a mouse on a laptop with a glove on, so my right hand just had to deal with it.) One night I slept with a hot hands in my onesie. True story.
Best news: The heat on my floor got fixed yesterday. Praise. The. Lord.

Well, my random 15 minutes I didn't know what to do with is up, so hopefully I'll update again sooner than last time. :)

In case you didn't hear, it was my birthday.

My 22nd birthday to be exact. And, if you know me, you know that I LOVE birthdays. This one may have been the best yet, and I have had some stinkin' awesome birthdays.

My birthday was on Monday, but my birthday festivities started on Friday when my lovely boyfriend took me on a date. We went to Jammin' Java, went to Mexico Viejo (my fave), and then went to Barnes and Noble to color and look around. He love love loves to plan not normal dates, but I really enjoy low-key conversational dates, so this was perfect. He picked me up pretty early, but I kind of assumed it was because he had to work at 7 the next morning. After all of that we went to his apartment to hang out in the hammock (except not really because I was way too cold for that), but then we walked into his apartment and so many of my favorite people were there!!!

I was totally surprised! I knew my parents were having a party for me on Monday, so I didn't expect this at all. Way to go, friends.
At the party my friend Julie made me a devil's food cake (from scratch!) and strawberry cupcakes, and my friend Nathan made homemade apple pie. Yep. I'm one spoiled girl. There was a piƱata which I got/had to bust open, and my favorite candy was in it!
After that we played one of my favorite games (Naked, SWAG, Fishbowl...whatever you like to call it) Celeste version. That meant that at least one thing that each person put in the bowl had to be related to me somehow. That was slightly weird for me, but still really fun.

It seemed like every time I walked into my room between Saturday and Monday there was another surprise in my room. I feel so loved. Seriously, I have the best friends ever.

At my parents' house on Monday we went on a hayride, mom made tons of manicotti and ravioli, and everyone brought recipes because my mama is putting a recipe book together for me. I'm. So. Excited.
I don't have many pictures from that night because they accidentally ended up on another camera, but here are a few.

Best birthday ever. Thanks everyone. Lovelovelove you tons.
